Every year, the Guild holds a Christmas Dinner in St. Mary’s Guildhall, Bayley Lane, Coventry. The event includes a traditional meal of soup, turkey (with all the trimmings) and Christmas pudding, but there is always an alternate choice for each course, plus a full vegetarian option. On arrival, there is a reception in the undercroft area of the Guildhall and entertainment is provided on the night. In previous years we have enjoyed performances by an Indian dance group called the “Hina Dancers”, a ladies barber shop quartet called “Bowled Over”, the excellent Band of the West Midlands Fire Service and the City of Coventry Male Voice Choir. There is also a raffle on the night, raising money for the Master’s Charity.
The event is organised by the Deputy Master and is one of the most popular events in the calendar.
For our Christmas Dinner in 2014 the entertainment was provided by the City of Coventry Male Voice Choir (see below)
In 2015 and 2016 the entertainment was provided by the Silver Lining Ladies Barbershop Chorus (see below)
