Charity Awards Night

The City of Coventry Freemen’s Guild is proud to support many charities in the Coventry area. Each year a main charity is chosen by the Master of the Guild, together with about eight to ten other local charities. These charities receive money the Guild has been able to raise each year, by organising charity events and raffles. Each year we manage to raise at least £3,500 and the Guild are always grateful for the support of local companies and members of the Guild, who generously provide items, gifts and even days out that we can raffle in order to raise funds. The Charity Awards Night is always held in late March, to recognise the achievements of these charities and present them with supporting cheques from the Guild Charity Fund.

The event is organised by our Senior Warden.

  1. How do I go about introducing the work of the Neuromuscular Centre, based at the Hereward College here in Coventry. NMC has existed for three years and provides help for people suffering from muscular dystrophy and other muscular diseases. We receive no statutory funding and rely on the help of our service users and support from the community here in Coventry. All funds received are used to help people who are aware that there is no cure for their disease. Many thanks for your help.

    • Dear Vic Sheret
I’m afraid that the Charity Awards for this year have already been voted and awarded (March 2016).
I have sent you an email requesting that you please make an application for Charity Funding for 2017 by submitting a letter to our Senior Warden (in September 2016).
